| I borrowed my oldest son’s pair of the Muck Woody Max boots while deer hunting in Kansas 2006. It was six degrees in a blinding snow storm. I was amazed at how well they kept my feet warm. I got a pair for Christmas that year, and just gave a pair to my youngest son this Christmas (2007). I talked to him last night, (Jan 2) he was in West Texas deer hunting (26 degrees), he said thanks for the great gift, he feet had never felt warmer in similar hunting conditions. | I have always had cold feet when deer hunting and wanted a waterproof boot that would allow me to insert hand/foot warming pouches without leaving my toes crammed. I finally found that boot with the Woody Max. In addition, it seems the calf coverage helps trap warm air from the muscular part of your leg inside the boot. I used these a couple days in a tree stand and a couple of days walking. They're not the best for hiking (since they can not be laced tight) but worked well still hunting; especially in wet conditions. I also think these would be great for duck/goose hunting and any outdoor work where you want to keep your feet dry. | ||||
