| I looked just about everywhere, with no luck, to find this wonderful old-time product and Hanks came through again. This adhesive is as tough as nails. It reminds me of my boyhood days when I would hang around the neighborhood cobbler's shop. He used this flexible, strong as iron cement on our "best" leather shoes. When he made a repair with Barge cement, you knew it would"last." I can still recall the aroma of the old cobbler's smoking pipe mixed with the smell of this adhesive in the air...and can almost see that old man with his glasses hanging off his nose. Few products stand the test of time like this "tin" can, (not plastic) with it's built in "brush in the cap" applicator. Great Old Product...at a Great Old Price...and you can't beat the quick service at Hanks! | ||||

| I used this cement to glue a new chrome leather sole sole onto my dance shoes and it did a perfect job. | ||||

Barge is an amazing adhesive that is way beyond the strength of typical contact cements found in hardware stores. I did a project for our son where I mounted a large 3 foot by 6 foot 22Ga thick cold rolled steel sheet to a 3/16" thick plywood while the board was already mounted to the wall. Any "wet" adhesive would not work because the metal would just loose contact and slip down the wall. After I let both coated sides dry completely, my wife and I had one shot to get the parts aligned and we pressed them together. Instant hold and now 3 weeks later, I could not peel the metal off without bending it! [BTW, this metal is now painted with black chalk board material for a magnetic chalk play board!). I've also used Barge in the past to resole climbing shoes and never had a problem with subsequent delamination. Hanks Clothing service is top notch with prompt shipment and tracking information. |

| I've used Barge cement for years and love the stuff! It is wonderful to have it in the can because I've tried to buy several tubes at a time but by the time I get to them again, they are almost dried up and hard to use. | ||||

| I learned about this from a friend that worked with leather, years ago. I found small tubes locally and used it to fix boots and attach sheepskin to my horse's grazing muzzle, but I use the small tubes up too quickly. The big can is perfect and should last me awhile. I use it cloth, leather, velcro, rubber, vinyl, and try it on anything that needs repair. It's great stuff. | ||||

| I found this to be by far the best contact cement that you can buy. I have used it for leather, show and boot repair and much more and have found it totally reliable, very strong and long lasting lasting. | ||||
