This is my second pair of Woody Max Muck Boots. After 4 years of use from the first pair, the sole on the right side fell off. Hopefully this pair is constructed better. I noticed the design on the lugs is different on the new woody's, more aggressive. The Woody Max, while wearing wool socks , keeps my feet very toasty in sub-degree temperatures. Boots may be a little heavy for prolonged walking, but for hunting they are great. Hank's clothing had the best price I found on the net and with free shipping. Received the boots in about 7 days. My first purchase from this company and would order again from them.

I've hunted for 45 years. These boots are so light and warmer than the 1600 gram waders I use wear for late season duck hunting. I love them. Wish I had bought them years earlier. Hanks is also amazing. Had one pair of boots shipped to Maryland, the other to Illinois. Both arrived in 2 days. That was with the free shipping. You gotta love that kind of service

After my son ordered four pairs of these boots for Christmas 2009 I was so impressed with the boots I ordered a pair for myself. The soft texture of the uppers makes wearing this boot very comfortable. In the harsh winter conditions of Canada my feet stay warm and dry. Being a diabetic with poor circulation in my feet, these are the best boots I have found for not only walking through deep snow but also for enjoying a winter-time ATV ride. I also plan to use them next fall during hunting season sitting in my tree stand where I'm sure they will perform exactly as expected.

I borrowed my oldest son’s pair of the Muck Woody Max boots while deer hunting in Kansas 2006. It was six degrees in a blinding snow storm. I was amazed at how well they kept my feet warm. I got a pair for Christmas that year, and just gave a pair to my youngest son this Christmas (2007). I talked to him last night, (Jan 2) he was in West Texas deer hunting (26 degrees), he said thanks for the great gift, he feet had never felt warmer in similar hunting conditions. I have always had cold feet when deer hunting and wanted a waterproof boot that would allow me to insert hand/foot warming pouches without leaving my toes crammed. I finally found that boot with the Woody Max. In addition, it seems the calf coverage helps trap warm air from the muscular part of your leg inside the boot. I used these a couple days in a tree stand and a couple of days walking. They're not the best for hiking (since they can not be laced tight) but worked well still hunting; especially in wet conditions. I also think these would be great for duck/goose hunting and any outdoor work where you want to keep your feet dry.
