Fit
Tips For Men's Footwear.
Please note:
These are only guides. No one knows
your body build and type better
than yourself. When fitting keep in mind these tips are not guaranteed
to get you a fit, only help
in assisting you to make a decision.
NOTE:
We successfully sell
tons of boots online and thru the mail with very little problems.
HOWEVER....if you
have a hard time getting boots to fit, you may want to reconsider trying
to order online. A person who is "hard fitting" is generally someone who
will go into a shoe store, try on 20 pair of boots, and not find one
pair that fits them the way they like. You could perhaps have foot
problems, sensitive feet, orthotics that are overly large, or just be
very particular. This is a small percentage of people but if you fall
into that category ordering shoes online probably isn't a good idea. If
you generally buy a shoe in say size 10W and they almost always fit you
then you will have no problem ordering online. Taking myself for
example, I can virtually buy any 12M and they almost always fit
and feel good.

Work Boots and Farm Boots |
Proper Fit:
For proper fit on work boots buy the same size your would
normally buy for your street shoes with these considerations.
First if there is any tips on size in the description of the
boot follow that and not this page. If you are buying an
insulated boot it is generally best to get them a half size
bigger than street shoe sizes. You normally will wear heavy
socks and a boot that is a little roomy will be warmer and more
comfortable. If you have a really wide foot it is always wise to
buy one half size bigger and the wide width.

Northerner Rubber Boots |
| |
Northerner rubber boots come
in whole sizes only. They run a little on the generous size to allow for
heavy socks. As a rule buy your normal size. If you are a half size or
have really wide feet round up to the next size. Ex: 9 1/2 buy a 10.
It's always a good idea to purchase some felt insoles with your rubber
boots. They add cushion, absorb perspiration, and allow you to customize
the fit of the boot. Ex. put them in with light socks and you can pull
them out for a little more room if you need to wear extra thick socks.

Pac Boots (boots with
removable liners) |
| |
Buy these type boots a size
bigger. They aren't meant for a ton of walking and a little bigger will
make them much warmer and more comfortable. These come whole sizes only.

| |
Buy these generally at your normal shoe size. They come whole sizes so
again round if you are a half size or have a wide foot.
