For Chippewa boots, these laces are MUCH better than the more common bootlaces which can be bought at most supermarkets, boot stores or shoe repair shops, although I had few options to obtain much-needed replacements for my work boots since Chippewa has discontinued their own online sales of them until I discovered Hank's. The lace diameter of these properly fits the boot grommet hole diameter, and the stiffer waxed cord material won't expand or abrade like the more commonly-available versions, so it slips easily through the grommet holes in any direction with relative ease for the product's lifespan (and they seem to last longer, too).
