	I used to own a pair of these boots 20 years ago, and can remember that they lasted about 5 years, with a sole change @ 3 years. The new Pair of Carolina's I just receievd are just as well made, [but sadly China] and every bit warm. The quality of this boot is above excellent. Mine were ordered with the non safety toe and 600 gram Thinsulate. Even in 12* temps of northern NH and FEET of snow these boots did not wet thru and stayed as warm as house slippers for the entire day outdoors. The boots require about a weeks worth of break-in, worn loose-laced, but fit like they were custom made for me. I ordered a 1/2 size larger [10.5] to allow for a heavy winter sock, and there was plenty of room. Looking forward to these boots lasting as long as my last pair. You will not be disappointed.
