Carhartt Flame Resistant Fabric Care

Caring for you Carhartt Flame Resistant Clothing properly is important.  You can wash your Carhartt FR wear as many times as you like, and as long as you follow the guidelines below it will not lose it's effectiveness or safety.

Quilt Lined Items

• Machine Wash on warm but not over 140°F
• Do not use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener, or starch
• Tumble dry on low and remove promptly
• Iron with low heat if necessary
• Quilt lined items can be dry cleaned

Unlined/Twill-Lined Items

• Machine was on warm but not over 165°F
• Do not use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fabric softener, or starch
• Tumble dry on low and remove promptly
• Iron with low heat if necessary
• Unlined and Twill lined items can be dry cleaned

Carhartt has learned that some of the Dark Navy items may streak when washed at home. Carhartt reccomends have these items turned inside out and dry cleaned. Style numbers include:

• FRB229
• FRC066
• FRJ184
• FRJ195
• FRJ198
• FRR44
• FRR45
• FRA265

These are 13-ounce, 100% cotton items in Dark Navy only.  The safety of these garments are not effected by this streaking just how it looks.
