The classic trademarked, redheaded “Never Leak” Duck Logo has graced the shelves of Hanks Clothing for probably as long as we have been in business which is 60 years. Read on after the jump for a bit of History on Pecard Leather Dressing…

Hank’s Personal Choice
The founder of Hanks Clothing, Hank himself, would always recommend Pecard’s. As a matter of fact he didn’t like to sell anything else to Waterproof Boots. Hank was an avid sportsman and knew what worked by using it himself. He used a lot of the products himself and based buying decisions on his own experience with the product. This leather dressing was his favorite and throughout the years he never waivered on recommending it.

Phil Pecard the Man who started it all.
Phil Pecard starting experimenting with different formulas out of necessity. Leather boots back in the early 1900’s were actually more expensive by today’s standards easily costing a weeks salary or more. Customers needed to make sure their boots lasted and they took time and effort to protect their investment. Phil was in Lena, WI and there were lumberman that needed to make sure their boots lasted and stayed dry in the harsh Wisconsin’s Northwood. His product did the trick.

Pecard’s went on the first expedition to the South Pole!
Back then there were no Waterproof boots like today. Boots leaked if you didn’t treat them. Admiral Richard E. Byrd choose Pecard’s himself to go on the first expedition to the South Pole. Pecard Boot dressing had a loyal following and it’s reputation was known far and wide. It was known to be a product you could count on to get the job done.

Still Family Owned and Operated Today.
Based in Green Bay, WI the Pecard Chemical company continues the tradition it’s founder Phil Pecard started all those years ago. They don’t waiver from the quality that got them their reputation. Protect your work boots with one of the best Leather dressing’s you can buy and know every time you butter up your boots with some Pecard your using one of the best Leather dressings ever invented!
