	Purchased this belt as I needed a new general use black belt. I also conceal carry IWB daily but have no use for a full kydex reinforced awkward looking gun belt. I carry a Smith & Wesson M&P9c IWB and a spare magazine OWB. This belt handles the weight of my CCW as well as fit comfortably and look good with everything that's not dress attire. 	I was searching for a CCW belt online and found a link to Hank's Clothing and with all the great reviews on their gun belts I bought both a black and brown one. Getting 2 quality gun belts for the price of a single one from other retailers was a no brainer. The belt supports my IWB holster very well although I did need to add another hole to make it more comfortable for me. If you plan of buying this belt for IWB carry then you will need to go 2 sizes up, I normally use a 36" belt but got the 40" and it's the right size.

	thats the bottom line. it is a little rough on the edges. it does have a small amount of stretch to it because it is not a double layer, its just a thick leather belt. will serve better than any other $30 belt however it is not a high end gun belt.

	This is the 4th belt I've bought, I have bought one for everyone in the family that has their CPL and carries everyday the belt doesn't droop and stays put just like it should. I paid $100 for a gun belt from a very prominent gun belt maker and it has been tossed in the closet due to bending and drooping. I kept it tight which you should always do with a gun belt they are meant to wear snug you want your pistol held in place.

	This belt is exactly what I was looking for. I needed it to be sturdy and durable yet neutral and basic. I am not only using it for CCW but also as a belt for everyday wear. I work the streets in a plain clothes capacity, so I need it for carrying the extras. I have a 34" waist, so I usually need a 36" belt. I got a 38" for CCW, both IWB and OWB. It fits perfect because it comes with several notches for various fits, big plus!! At times I am carrying as much as a double mag case, belt badge, cuffs and a 1911. This belt is up for the task. I even got my wife one for her OWB carry of a large revolver while working at the family ranch. This belt is built to last....you can't find that anymore.

	This is the first belt that I found that will actually keep my pants up without resorting to suspenders. Quality is great. At the time of this writing, I have worn the belt for well over a week with the belt breaking in after about 2 days. For those who want the belt to use with a holster, be aware that it is a relatively thick material and it won't fit the steel clips that are meant for the thin dress belts . This looks like it will last a long time.

	I like my belts simple. Heavy duty leather, simple buckle and made to last. This is the thickest belt I have ever had and I really like it. Made in USA for a great price. Pay attention to sizing information and if in doubt order larger. They provide lots of holes. I ordered a 36 and it is a bit smaller. I did not return it but got a 38 also. Someday that 36 will be just right.

I took the advice of other reviewers on here and ordered 2 sizes bigger, well make that 3 sizes. I measured 47 for my old belt. Hanks does not have a 49 size so I went with 50. Couldn't be happier. I will not hesitate to order from Hanks again with their super fast delivery. I ordered on Sat. and it was in my mailbox on Wednesday.

If you want a classy buckle, just get one.

	Got a little confused between the images and text -- Bought in a 40" and I'm on the last hole. That said, this is an excellent belt and an absolutely fantastic value. There's almost always an IWB holster hanging from it and it doesn't seem to mind at all. Still - If you think you're a 40" - go with a 42" for a little headroom. Otherwise - It's thick, it's a quality strip of leather (I'm a former leathersmith myself, so I'm pretty picky about the hides), I'm not expecting any particular hot-spots as far as stretching is concerned. Assuming it's going to last for years of everyday use. Buckle set with "Chicago" screws (as opposed to rivets/burrs) so it can be swapped out easily.

	This is an amazingly stout belt. I prefer to carry in an outside waist band belt holster. My previous belts just couldn't stand up to anything larger than a small revolver. This belt will easily carry a Colt 1911 without rolling or sagging. Those Amish folks sure do know their concealed carry. ;)

	I have been wearing this belt for over a year now. I wear it everyday. It is the best value in a heavy duty belt you can find. 1 1/2 inches wide and approximately 3/16 inch thick, this belt is heavy duty. I regularly CCW in this holster, and it can hold up a canon. This belt has already lasted longer than any other belt I'ved owned, however I'm sure it has another couple of years of everyday in it. 	Definitely a sturdy belt, outer side has a nice finish, and belt buckle is very functional. Makes me forget that I have a ccw on me. Only issue is that the inside finish is very rough, and the dye will bleed onto your pants. You can actually crumble some bits of the leather off the inner side.

	I have only had the belt for about 3 weeks, but I can tell already that it is going to last a while. I grew up in Idaho milking cows and running fence. I had a belt made of leather for years that I bought off an old saddle maker. Since I have graduated college my job has had me moving all over the Northwest. I have not been able to find a belt made in any clothing store to last me more than 8 months. I know what long lasting leather feels like, and this is it. I'm going to buy my wife a belt from here, my two brothers-in-law, my father, my neighbor... If this belt holds like I believe it will. I'm a Hanks fan for life! The buckle I received is very high quality and I have no doubt would last for many years, I did however, change to my own "Bucklehead" belt buckle. It was a tight fit, but after working it through a few times, it now preforms perfectly. This belt, in my own opinion, is a nice "middle" between a normal leather belt (which isn't enough) & the common double-thick carry belts (that are almost too much). Maybe this belt wouldn't be right for an off-duty cop, they might need to carry handcuffs, extra magazines plus additional gear.. But is perfect for an average person with more common EDC gear. I haven;t tried IWB yet, but I think I should be able to hit the first hole, maybe the second. I'm thinking I'll order one in brown in a size 38 and use one for IWB and one for OWB. So if using it as a carry belt, go up at least three sizes if using IWB.

	Firstly this belt is excellent for the price and I have no complaints about it's construction. After reading all the glowing ccw reviews I figured I would give it a try as a carry belt since my old crossbreed belt is way to big on me now. This belt is sturdy but it is not on the level of a double sided carry belt. It is a fraction of the cost and will do the job admirably but when it comes to carry gear you want the best performance possible. I will still use this belt for everyday use and as a carry belt until I get my crossbreed shortened. I would recommend this belt for customers on a budget but if you can afford it go with a double sided carry belt.

	This is one stiff belt. Before I bought this I used a belt that was the same price yet substantially inferior quality. This belt supports a pistol easily, in fact I can now wear it one hole looser than I normally wear carry belts. It's extremely comfortable to carry with this belt, I have it on right now and I can't feel my pistol. The quality of this belt is amazing, it's going to last for a long time. Don't bother spending $80 on a gun belt- this is the only one you need. I'll never carry with another belt again.

	It is almost twice as thick as the belt it is replacing. Also a plain black belt. It will probably take a year or more to soften up. I rubbed it down with a leather dressing (Brooks) and will probably do so again in six months. It does have screws in case you want to replace the buckle. I wonder if they might loosen on their own. I have no intention of ever replacing the buckle so I put a drop of removable thread sealer on each. There is no doubt this belt will last a lifetime.

	This belt is very sturdy, seems to be made of heavy cowhide or bridle leather. It's quite thick and the buckle is screwed on rather than riveted, making it easy to replace the buckle at will. I'd give this belt a 5 star review except that they are sized quite short. I am only a 38 inch waist measurement/ pants size, (size large) and I bought a 44" belt, but it was still pretty short. I'd recommend getting 3 sizes too big, if you plan to carry with it. No matter whether your holster is IWB or OWB it will still take up slack in the belt to some extent. As a leatherworker myself I can honestly say that this belt is top notch. The quality of leather is great, the evenness of the dyeing is good, the edges are burnished, and the retaining loop for the belt end is heavy duty as well. All in all, 4 or 4.5 stars! 	I had previously ordered a brown in 44 thinking I needed the extra length for my IWB holster. But the 42 gives me plenty of length and is not too long when worn without a holster. These are good, thick belts with heavy duty buckles. May not work for dress clothes, but they work for jeans, dockers and other casual wear. Hanks has been great about shipping promptly. I use it for IWB carry and my previous NRA belt was too flexible and woefully inadequate to keep its form with the added weight of a firearm. Very nice looking belt but it measured exactly an eighth of an inch thick not just under a quarter inch thick and it was very limber also. The buckle on my Beltman belt is much nicer and allows the belt to sit flatter in front without bowing out. This is a simple problem that could be fixed by the manufacturers, rather than leaving it to us. For the money, it's still an incredible value!

I wear a size 33 size jean and it fits slightly loose on the waist, and was lucky enough that my crossbreed holster for a 3" XD, and didn't require me to have to start buying bigger pants. I ordered a size 38 due to hearing that the belts run small. Without holster, I can wear the belt on the 4th hole, with holster 3rd hole. I hope this helps with figuring out what size to buy.

	First off, this is a great belt. All the reviews are correct. Thick, durable, well made. As for the sizing. I found it to be accurate to waist size. Most people are going by their pants size, which is notoriously inaccurate. Instead of going by pants size, take a tape measure and measure your waist. If it is 41, order a 42. If your waist is 42, order a 42. Obviously, if you are using it with a holster order a size up. My waist is about 41 inches, but I wear a 38 pants. I ordered a 42" belt and I am on the 4th hole of 8 (from loosest). The actual measurements of the belt (size 42") are: Total Length of leather section (not including buckle) 47.5", length to the smallest hole is about 37". There is about 1.125 inches between each hole (there are 8 holes). The biggest hole is just over 44".

Note on sizing: I wear a 34" Levis jean and ordered a 38" belt, but I was still on the 2nd to last hole of the belt. I should have gone with a 40" maybe even a 42".

	I have been wearing the Amish Belt for about 2 weeks as a pistol belt for CCW. This big chunk of leather does a wonderful job of holding my pistol, as well as my britches up. I wear it with polymer, alloy and even steel framed pistols and it is holding up well. Remember guys, a holster is only as good as the belt that holds it up and this one does the job well. Just make sure you purchase LARGER than your waist size. I plan on buying another in brown.

	I bought two of these belts, brown and black. My work boots are brown, so these match perfectly. I use the black for my black dress shoes when I go out at night. Your belt should always match your shoes or boots (most of you probably knew that). A nice belt like this makes me look better in my uniform, makes me look more professional. Worth every penny. 	I bought this as a dual purpose carry belt/work belt. It's easily twice as thick as my last name brand work belt and cost me half the amount. The belt is made of quality materials. The leather seems very durable. The roller buckle is one of the toughest I've seen. When ordering, choose a size 2 inches larger than what you normally would order. They seem to run a bit on the short side. These are definitely the best belts I have ever owned and the price is tough to beat. I have recommended it at work and at the gun range.

	good heavy belt, I went up 3 sizes 1 for Iwb carry and 2 because they tend to run small, It's a little too big might have to punch a hole if I don't carry. anyways a size 44 has 8 holes, measures about 39.25" hooked on the close hole and 47.25" on the far hole .my carry pants are a size 38 and when carrying iwb I have 2 holes left, next time I will order a 42. (in brown) Hanks gave me real fast service ,rated it 4 star because I've only worn it a week

	The belt runs very small and would suggest ordering 2 sizes larger than you normally take. Example, I wear a 33in pants and normally purchase 34in belt, I ordered a 36in Amish belt and it's on the second to last hole. Seems like a somewhat documented issue and an easy fix for them, just stamp the correct size on the leather!
